I used this recipe from Tropical Traditions yesterday and today.
It was pretty good.
1/2 cup of plain greek yogurt
2 tbsp of flax seed
2 tbsp of coconut oil
2 organic/raw eggs
1 frozen banana
(ice if desired)
I also added some green tea that I brewed.
Today I added organic blueberries and organic fresh spinach to it. Yummy. I also needed to add some sweetner to it. I used Agave Syrup about 2 tsp or so.
You will find that I REALLY love smoothies and that I have been using smoothies as muscle rebuilder after my runs or hard exercise sessions. I've been playing around with different sources of protein. Today was just eggs, greek yogurt and 1 packet of unflavored gelatin.
These were okay but I really like chocolate peanut butter flavored smoothies. I'll post those recipes later!
1 Corinthians 10:31
“So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.” (NIV)
1 Corinthians 9:25-27 “All athletes are disciplined in their training. They do it to win a prize that will fade away, but we do it for an eternal prize. So I run with purpose in every step. I am not just shadowboxing. I discipline my body like an athlete, training it to do what it should. Otherwise, I fear that after preaching to others I myself might be disqualified.” (NLT)
